A study of public space in the core of Sudbury, On.

Separated into two areas of observation, Memorial Park North and South were studied simultaneously over the course of a single three hour examination in order to understand the site over a prolonged and thorough review. Park goers were mapped by nature of activity and duration of stay.
Chosen for its proximity to Memorial Park and for the recent redesign, Tom Davies Square was observed over the course of two mornings, hoping to capture a variance in uses and frequencies. Visitors chosen paths and duration of stays were mapped as to understand the space as an effective public spare or not.
